Resources to Help East Tennessee
October 4, 2024
We have no words to describe how saddened we are about the tragic developments in eastern Tennessee following hurricane Helene. Our hearts go out to all who have been impacted. We have been in contact with many of our members in that part of the state and have reached out to all of them asking how we may be of assistance.
For those wishing to help, donations can be made to the following organizations and/or these organizations can provide additional details about how to help. TNAAP has contributed to each of these, and we encourage others to do so.
- Greene County AIDNET of Greene County Donations can be sent to AIDNET of Greene County at PO Box 2622, Greeneville, TN 37744.
- Unicoi County Unicoi County Fund – East Tennessee Foundation
- Cocke County – Cocke County Strong
- Washington, Carter and Johnson Counties – United Way of East Tennessee Highlands
- Sevier County Disaster Donations – Sevier Co. Emergency Management
- Other impacted counties: East Tennessee Foundation
In addition, we offer the following resources for families.
- AAP Tips on Talking to a Child after a Disaster (AAP YouTube)

TNAAP will continue to monitor the recovery efforts in the coming days and months and assist where possible.
